| Examines buildings and conducts research to determine fire prevention techniques. Ensures fire compliance codes are being adhered to. Educates public by providing information on fire prevention. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. Typically reports to a manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. |
