Requirements and Responsibilities For IT Change Management Manager |
Oversees and plans IT change management initiatives that enable desired organizational change with minimum disruption of business processes. Implements policies and procedures to analyze business processes and IT change plans and evaluate and assess organizational readiness. Manages the planning and implementation of IT change projects to modify and improve an organization's IT systems, applications, or processes. Follows Organizational Change Management (OCM) methodologies to conduct assessments of the current state, analyze stakeholders, identify risks, and establish the goals and milestones of changes. Reviews testing and validates IT changes before deployment to ensure they are implemented successfully and meet the organization's standards and requirements. Implements detailed project plans to manage each phase's timelines, tasks, resources, and dependencies. Collaborates with stakeholders and develops a working knowledge of existing business processes to understand and assess the impact of changes and contribute to transition planning. Administers post-implementation monitoring processes to measure the results of changes and make necessary course adjustments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
