| Requirements and Responsibilities For Material Forecasting Senior Manager |
| Manages material demand forecasting activities to ensure the availability of materials while optimizing inventory investment. Develops and improves material forecasting models, planning parameters, and replenishment strategies. Coordinates with production planning, procurement, and suppliers to align material demand with manufacturing schedules. Reviews material demand accuracy, inventory performance, and supply risks to drive corrective actions. Leads initiatives to improve forecasting tools, data quality, and planning processes. Develops and mentors materials planning and forecasting staff. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. |
