| Requirements and Responsibilities For Materials Sourcing Supervisor |
| Supervises material sourcing activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of materials. Oversees daily sourcing operations and delegates workflow to analysts or buyers to meet business requirements. Implements sourcing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance across sourcing activities. Reviews supplier performance, contract compliance, and sourcing metrics to ensure service, quality, and cost targets are met. Coordinates sourcing activities with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with production schedules and inventory plans. Supports negotiations and sourcing projects to achieve cost savings and risk management objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. |
