Requirements and Responsibilities For Patent Attorney II
Determines potential of granting patents on inventions or trademarks, and monitors possibility of infringement. Responsible for preparing and filing patent applications and trademark registrations, litigating pending applications and registrations, and reporting possible violations. Prosecutes violations of organization's registrations and/or patents. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience.
