| Requirements and Responsibilities For Sign Language Interpreter |
| Enables communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals and hearing individuals through real-time interpretation. Translates in a variety of settings. May require research in vocabulary related to specialty. Requires an associate degree. May require RID certification. Typically reports to a manager. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience. |
