| Requirements and Responsibilities For Credit Risk Manager |
| Manages the credit risk exposure of a financial institution to mitigate and reduce risk. Leads the credit risk evaluation process to ensure thorough analysis and consistent application of risk standards. Implements policies and procedures to ensure credit exposures remain within risk limits and regulatory requirements. Develops risk models and frameworks to evaluate credit proposals and provide risk-based recommendations that align with business objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
