Requirements and Responsibilities For Flight Inspection Director
Plans and directs aircraft parts, systems, and equipment inspections to ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards and requirements. Develops policies and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent inspection protocols. Trains, educates, and informs inspectors on best practices and changing regulations. Reviews inspection reports to ensure regular inspections are conducted and any violations are resolved promptly. Maintains a thorough understanding of all pertinent standards, specifications, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Requires Flight Inspector License. Typically reports to senior management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
