Requirements and Responsibilities For Grocery Receiver |
Receives all incoming grocery shipments. Examines merchandise for damage or defects. Practices safe food handling procedures. Verifies shipment information against bill of lading or invoice. Inputs required receiving data into system. Generates and attaches identification labels to products. Ensures that the receiving area is clean, safe, and secure and that packing materials are properly processed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience. |
