| Requirements and Responsibilities For Licensing Manager |
| Manages licensing programs to support employees in obtaining and maintaining required insurance licenses and registrations. Develops and implements licensing processes, training coordination activities, and compliance procedures to ensure employees meet state regulatory requirements. Oversees licensing staff, monitors licensing progress, and provides guidance on pre-licensing education, examination requirements, appointments, and renewals. Coordinates with training teams, business leaders, state insurance departments, and external vendors to support employee onboarding and licensing readiness. Evaluates regulatory changes and develops process improvements to enhance licensing efficiency, employee experience, and compliance oversight. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
