| Requirements and Responsibilities For Loan Examiner Manager |
| Manages a team of loan examiners responsible for credit and loan auditing and examination. Oversees the independent regulatory examinations of financial institutions to assess the safety, soundness, and regulatory compliance of lending practices. Coordinates comprehensive reviews of loan portfolios, credit files, and underwriting decisions to assess risk exposure, internal policies, and adherence to external regulations. Develops and implements examination procedures, controls, and reporting frameworks to enhance audit effectiveness and operational transparency. Evaluates examination findings, identifies trends or systemic issues, and determines corrective actions to mitigate credit and compliance risks. Collaborates with credit, risk, and compliance teams to strengthen governance practices. Prepares and presents detailed reports to senior management and regulatory bodies on examination outcomes and risk assessments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. |
