| Requirements and Responsibilities For Revenue Accounting Director |
| Directs the operations and policies of the revenue accounting function. Implements revenue accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental, financial, and tax regulations, and comply with GAAP, IFRS, and ASC 606 standards. Monitors and evaluates revenue accounting systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Oversees all bookings, billings, and revenue recognition reporting. Partners with executive leadership to resolve high-impact issues and provide strategic insights through comprehensive financial reporting. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting. Typically reports to senior management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
