| Requirements and Responsibilities For Stationary Engineer Supervisor |
| Supervises and oversees the operation and maintenance of stationary equipment including boilers, generators, refrigeration, and turbines in buildings, plants or industrial facilities. Coordinates daily monitoring rounds and routine performance checks to ensure that equipment is operating effectively, safely, and within established limits. Implements policies and processes to perform preventative maintenance and document completed procedures. Reviews failure analysis of parts and equipment to determine the need for repair or replacement of parts. Coordinates and communicates with stakeholders to plan and schedule equipment maintenance or improvements and reduce operational impacts. Ensures stationary equipment complies with all safety, functional, and regulatory standards and requirements. May require an associate degree. Requires EPA Universal Certification. Requires Boiler Operator Licensed. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. |
