| Requirements and Responsibilities For Rehabilitation Manager - Nursing Home |
| Manages the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department for a nursing home. Responsible for the direction, planning, and operation of the rehabilitation function. Sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Monitors the quality of resident care and services and makes recommendations and/or adjustments as needed. May consult with residents' family members. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
