Requirements and Responsibilities For School Nurse
Provides nursing care to students and staff within a school setting. Responsible for assessing student health, providing first aid and emergency care, administering medications, managing chronic conditions, and educating students and staff on health-related topics. Focuses on promoting health and preventing illness to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment. Requires an associate degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a school principal. Work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.
