| Requirements and Responsibilities For Women's Athletics Assistant Director |
| Assists in directing all facets of a university/college's women's athletic program. Responsible for hiring coaches, developing strategic plans, and fostering a positive athletic environment. Assists in fundraising efforts to secure additional funding for the athletic program through events, sponsorships, and community engagement. Ensures the athletic program adheres to all relevant rules, regulations, and policies, including those set by the school, state, and the NCAA. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an athletics director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
