| Requirements and Responsibilities For Student Psychologist - Higher Ed. |
| Provides professional counseling to students on academic, financial, and personal matters. Conducts intake assessments and screenings to evaluate students' needs and determine appropriate next steps. Provides short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services to students dealing with a variety of concerns. Collaborates with campus partners, including academic advisors, residential life staff, and student organizations to promote holistic student support. Requires a master's degree in counseling or psychology. Typically reports to a manager. Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Typically requires 10+ years of related experience. |
